SRT Cold Lake Museum Letterbox Geotour

Cold Lake Museum

The Cold Lake Museum is a multi-theme museum located on the old site of 42 Radar Squadron of CFB 4-Wing Cold Lake. The separate buildings house an Aboriginal Gallery, Heritage Gallery, Oil and Gas Gallery and Air Force Museum. Each building is connected by a covered walkway which is approximately 700 feet long.

The first museum visitors tour on the site is the Cold Lake Air Force Museum. After a walk through the "tunnel" or pedway, visitors read the Oil & Gas Gallery. Step back in time to a pre World War II period of time in Cold Lake in the Heritage Gallery and the visit the Aboriginal Gallery. Cold Lake's Aboriginal history dates back long before Europeans came to the North American continent.
