This geocache was created by Kelly Backs at Tree Studios for The Only Animal and Elphinstone Logging Focus as a part of Treasure Trail.
Once you arrive at Ground Zero, you are looking for TWO containers! One holds treasures, the other holds the logbook. Both look the same.
Don’t forget to sign the log and replace it in the cache in its waterproof container.
PLEASE NOTE: The cache is located a little ways off of the Health Trail, but if you follow the RED and SILVER flagging tape, it'll take you to Ground Zero. The start of this trail is marked just to the left at the top of the steep embankment coming up from Clack Creek.
In making Treasure Trail we wanted to play with the convention of geocaching, that is, using GPS to search out hidden caches, to bring you into this natural forest--and to get you to think about how we can do better for this place. There is always more to do to protect this magical setting, so keep your eyes open and be ready to share your stories from…the forest is full of treasures…
