Visitors to the Baling/LaLaShan area often miss this quaint little hike above Baling Bridge which features forest scenery and some small museums of local butterflies, beetles and stones. The hike is called The Baling Ancient Ecology Trail (巴陵古道生態園區). At about the halfway point of the hike, you’ll find a short rope bridge that gives you a nice view from the jungle canopy and some signs with descriptions of the forest plants and trees. Along the hike you might see lovely forest birds or eagles circling overhead, monkeys, flying squirrels, butterflies, snakes and lizards.
