River Trail I Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

-Rusty-: Greetings from Geocaching.com
I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time.

As stated in the cache listing guidelines available at http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#maint
You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to hunt for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable time - normally a few weeks - in which to arrange a visit to your cache. In the event that a cache is not being properly maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an extended period of time, we may archive or transfer the listing.

If you are able to get out and replace the cache, simply drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. I will be more than happy to take a look at it to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

Since the logs do not positively confirm that all physical traces of the cache have been removed we will add it to the Cache Rescue Mission at www.mi-geocaching.org

Thank you for your cooperation,

Rusty...

Geocache Description:

First in what I hope to be a series of caches along the Red Cedar River Trail in Lansing.

This first cache is on the other side of the river than that of the river trail and is property of M.S.U. There are many trails and is beautiful. Wear pants as the trails are overgrown and there is NO biking on these trails. This cache will take you as far back as you can go on this side. You have a few options for parking: There is the lot for the River Trail on the otherside of the river (about a 15 min walk to the trail you want), or the Park/Golf course across the street from that (13 min walk). You will have to cross a small stream to reach the cache, at least it is small currently.

Please mapke sure that the lid is on when you leave. I gently droped the cache in place and the top popped off. This is a container I will never purchase again.
