Grassy Branch Creek Cleanup

2016 marks the 14th year of CITO events. If you attend a CITO event April 16 – 24 like this one, you will earn a special souvenir for your geocaching profile. The date of cleanup is also Earth Day weekend.
We will meet at the coordinates at 12 PM and pick up trash until 2 PM. Supplies such as grabbers and trash bags will be provided. You may want to bring your own gloves.
The cleanup area is along the roadside and around Grassy Branch Creek. The parking area will hold about 5 or 6 cars so consider carpooling if you can. Grassy Branch continues underneath Tunnel Road and there is an area just past Tunnel Road along Lower Grassy Branch Road and Grassy Branch Creek that needs a lot of work. A second parking area here will hold a few additional cars. The waypoint for this is listed under additional parking below. Please do not block the driveway. This area has a steep incline along the bank of the creek with a lot of trash, so you may want to park and work in this area if you are more adventurous.
