Geocache Description:

Luc Girouard was Vernon's first permanent resident. He cleared and planted Vernon's first commercial orchard, making Vernon's first irrigation system in the process. Girouard later became the first Postmaster of Vernon. In this park named for this man of many "firsts" it seemed fitting to place my first Vernon geocache here.

I have driven by this location dozens of times since moving to Vernon and at first I wondered if there might be a geocache in there.......and then when I found out there wasn't I felt that I should remedy that.  

 

There is only one caution:   Due to the park restrictions this geocache can only be found between sunrise and sunset.
