Geocache Description:

Dacres Wood is a small and not very well known nature reserve. It is situated on part of the former Croydon Canal. The site’s main conservation interest lies in its ponds and wetlands. An invertebrate survey in 1996 found the purple hairstreak butterfly which has only been seen on 3 sites in London.

The cache is available at all times. It is not in the wood itself but by an old entrance which is very rarely used nowadays. Dacres Wood is open to the public on the last Saturday of every month.

You are looking for a small container that can hold a few swaps and trackable items. Parking is available on nearby streets for a quick cache grab.
