welcome to my portion of the County Line Trail. when I heard some friends where hiding caches out here I volunteered to help out and do a section of the trail. all of my hides will be within 15 feet of the trail surface, most even closer, and I will provide a hint telling you if it is on the north side or the south as the trail runs in a more or less east/west direction.
at this location you will be looking for a bottle cap container, no room for a pen, and an extraction tool may be helpful. I've also stuck a couple "tools" behind the sign, closest to the railroad tracks. they may be helpful in retrieving the cache, if they stay put.
to the south of the trail you can see a large complex of buildings, they are owned and operated by Morton Salt. the discovery of salt deposits in Rittman in 1897 led to the founding of Wayne Salt which later became Ohio Salt. then in 1948 Ohio Salt became Morton Salt, and is recognized nationwide by it's logo of the "Morton Salt Girl," a young girl walking in the rain with an opened umbrella and scattering salt behind her.
now some general information, this trail can be very busy, at times. when I placed this cache I had to wait several times to complete my hide, so try and watch for non-cachers. al please remember there is an ACTIVE train track near by when searching for this and any other cache on this trail. I have taken care to not hide in a dangerous area, but you should always keep an eye on the little ones on this trail.
