The North Alabama / Southern Tennessee Geocachers (aka NA/STy Cachers) hosted a booth here a couple of years ago and will do so again this year. Last time, our booth was along the northbound side of the street that goes to the cul-de-sac turnaround - and I assume it will be near that position again, but won't know until that morning.
Please come out and enjoy all the festivities going on in the area - the Preserve has many miles of nature trails (with a few geocachers in the area) and they usually have some interesting animals on display (with butterfly releases at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.). There were be many businesses, agencies, and community groups with interesting booths to educate and entertain you and your family (the event is VERY family friendly!). While in the area, feel free to stop by our booth (blue canopy) to say 'howdy' -- and stick around for a few minutes (or an hour or so) to talk to muggles about the thrills, challenges, adventures, fun, educational locations, joy, pain, photo opportunities, catastrophies, historical sites, agony, beautiful views, and sheer happiness involved with this hi-tech game/sport/hobby/chronocidal activity. You are also invited to loan any unique caches you have yet to hide, photos, or spare GPS units for us to display at the booth.
Your participation will be greatly appreciated - and I'm sure a thank you souvenir will be provided to all those that volunteer. Contact GameForTravel to make arrangements, if possible -- or just drop in!
p.s The posted coordinates above are for parking at the last event - not sure where the booth will be this year.
