Overlooking Crystal Lake and Penobscot and Four Mile Mountains, Stony Cabin Ridge is a treasure in the middle of this large gameland near Glen Summit.
Park at N 41.07.237, W 75.50.701 for an enjoyable 4 mile round trip adventure.
The micro-cache co-ordinates would have taken you to the Blue Bear, an adorable painting on a rock. Sadly, it was reported to me that the blue bear has been painted over. I am hoping you can still tell where he was. From here, go one hiking poles length to find the co-ordinates in a film container for the second part of the cache where you can exchange trinkets.
The area is interlaced with gameland roads, quad trails and hiking trails. No bushwhacking is necessary. This cache hunt would not be good with snow cover as the blue bear might be covered. Take some time to explore the whole area - it is wonderful. Jimmy Kane Swamp and Arbutis Peak are nearby.
