Na de Dodecaëder en de Octaëder kon deze niet uitblijven de Icosaëder. Een icosaëder (Grieks: εικοσι, twintig) of regelmatig twintigvlak, is een ruimtelijke figuur met 20 (gelijkzijdige en congruente) driehoekige vlakken, 12 hoekpunten en 30 ribben. Het is één van de vijf regelmatige veelvlakken in drie dimensies. Het heeft icosahedrale symmetrie.
