The view from the Sportsground is the Railway Viaduct over Stonequarry Creek is a picturesque site located at the end of Webster Street, Picton, which also has some historic old houses.
It was built of sandstone between 1863 and 1867 at a time when John Whitton was responsible for railway construction in New South Wales. This excellent example of railway viaduct design is 84 metres long and has five arches, the highest measuring 30 metres.
