Glen Farm is a wonderful, scenic park for horseback riding, playing ball, walking, or really just a spot to enjoy being outdoors. This multi cache should give you a short tour of a few likely often-overlooked little spots in the park. As mentioned before, you are looking for two bronze plaques and an engraved stone marker. They can be done in any order, but you will need to visit all three to get the coordinates, which can then be plugged into the below formula:
North 41° 33.A[B+1][C+1] West 071° 14.[D+4][E-3][F-9]
Stage one (posted coordinates):
Here you will find a small stone marker, erected in memory of someone who the adjacent field is named after.
A = the # of letters in the last name of the person who the field is dedicated to MINUS 2.
At the bottom of the marker there is a phrase that begins with “It is not...”. There are 1B total words in this phrase.
Stage two
The bronze plaque here states that the George S. Lopes Memorial Pavillion was dedicated in February 19CD.
Stage three
The bronze plaque here states the marker is was dedicated to the equine spirit of past, present and future by Aquidneck Island Horseman’s Association in 19EF.
