Geocache Description:

A beautiful small lake and campground near Mosquito, CA, which includes a fun frisbee golf course.  Placed as a secret activity during a Boy Scout Camporee in April 2016.  This small reservoir is used primarily for storage of water for fire safety.  Keep your eye open for one or two bald eagles who nest near the reservoir, as well as an old horse that can be honery, but generally keeps to himself.  The shop at the reservoir is open Tuesdays through Saturdays.

This cache was placed in April of 2016 as part of the Pioneer Express District Camporee for the Boy Scouts.  A camporee is an annual event in which Boy Scout patrols challenge each other to different competitions, most involving basic Scout skills.  Geocaching became a merit badge for Scouting a few years back, and in 2016 Geocaching was added as a requirement for Webelos, and basic GPS skills for Boy Scouts.
