Dear Folks I just wanted to write letting you know what a wonderful time I had in Tassie last week. GoldJ and I cached every day with ReedyMarshes and Beth, (Reed) was willing to tag along with Bob. She has really taken to it again and it was a big effort, yet satisfying, that I could keep up with her with my sore feet. I am glad that she’s eventually getting back into it. Beth re-examined her caching clothes as she always wears bright colours – she has a sixth sense for knowing what colours to wear that isn't conspicuous. I should have brought warmer, darker clothes with me. Beth said that the hardest cache for her was in a rocky plateau at the top of the mountain. It was hard to find as it was not only under a rock but it was even hidden in an old iphone too. Talk about overkill!! We went to Salamanca Market and if I’ve got the time I want to go back. 0nly time will tell if I can get a few days off! As it was we spent several hours there and managed to find 5 amazing caches. The trip up Mt Wellington was lovely. The height of the mountain makes for spectacular views of Hobart and the surrounding areas. We couldn’t stay long as the clothes I wore were, again, in-effective against the cold. We managed to find a cache at the top and left a thimble and took a sixpenny bit. I don’t really remember the old currency but I’ll give it to dad next time I see him. My time down there finished all too quickly but if our plans work out I will go back soon. All my love Jane PS Please make sure the cache lid is closed and don't remove it from its camo. Please replace as found.
