Geocache Description:

Join us at the above coordinates to hang out with fellow geocachers, trade hints and stories, and get together with friends at this discovery event.

START TIME:  9am, Saturday, June 25, 2016

END TIME: 5pm, Saturday June 25, 2016

This event will also be the kickoff for the Southern Black Hills Discovery Tour.  The tour is not part of the event and you are not required to participate in it to log the social event. We're inviting you to enter the Southern Hills gateway by grabbing at least seven (7) new caches and finding answers to 20 interesting and/or historical items in the Southern Black Hills on a passport you can receive at the event.

You can turn your passport back in at event headquarters and receive a limited edition trackable tag for completing the series correctly.  The trackable tag will be available for the first 90 cachers succesfully completing the tour.  After completing the tour, a potluck will be held at event headquarters from 3pm until 5pm.  Turkey sandwich material (smoked & deepfried hopefully) will be available, so just bring anything else along with refreshments and enjoy more caching stories for awhile.

A Forest Service Travel Motor Vehicle Use Map will be helpful for the tour and they are free. Also, cell phone coverage is spotty in the Southern Hills so be prepared with a GPS. There are many other caches in the area, so why not plan on spending the weekend in the area for a real geocaching adventure.

COME EARLY...GET YOUR PASSPORT...TAKE A TOUR...AND ENJOY SOME FOOD AFTER
