Geocache Description:

The container is a small clip-lock box.  Please replace container exactly as found, else the hint won't make sense!

This cache replaces GC6241N which was lost.

As always when caching, there's no need to excessively remove sticks, rocks or foliage to find this cache (although of course the hiding location is disguised).  Wellies may be needed as footpaths can get muddy!  Please look after our countryside.

Forest Glade is a forest clearing on the Blackdown Hills, between Cullompton and Honiton.  There are many footpath walks and cycle routes in the area.  These caches are placed in honour of a very special person who loved this area, whose birthday was on 13th, hence the name of this cache.  These caches will provide a nice walk in lovely surroundings. All caches in this series are easily accessible from a local campsite which borders one of these routes.

The Blackdown Hills form a tranquil, beautiful, and relatively isolated landscape on the Devon and Somerset border. Steep ridges, high plateau, valleys and springs create a charming mosaic of countryside dotted with farms, villages and ancient features.

This special place is home to wildlife and people, with valuable habitats existing alongside living, working communities. Unique geology creates an exceptional environment where rare plant, insect and invertebrate species can flourish.

The Blackdown Hills have been protected as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) since 1991.
