While exploring Nine Mile Canyon, we happened upon this nearby set of petroglyphs off of the main road. We saw several interesting pictures: a sun-cross, several different deer / antelope, some more modern day vandalism (initials), a man with a halo or connecting horns above his head, what may have been a cougar, etc. When I climbed up to get a closer look, I saw several more that were faded, but quite fascinating nonetheless. It was a relatively easy climb up (though the very young or older folks may want to avoid the scramble up) to get a closer look at these marvelous examples of ancient Native American art.
