Salterstown is a very historical townland in County Louth. The nearby village is significant, in that, it has changed very little from its conception in the late 18th or early 19th Century. A true time capsule. The townland is also a very important Prehistoric settlement dating from as far back as the Neolithic period (2000 - 4000 years before common time).
The views of the Cooley and Mourne Mountains are absolutely spectacular! Bring a decent camera, replete with zoom lens to record your visit. You will not be disappointed.
Cache is a a camouflaged tab lock box, just large enough to take a couple of swag items, and of course a trackable or two.
Very high chance of muggles in the immediate vicinity of this cache, especially during the fine weather, due to fine views and nice coastline. Please do take care (especially with young children), as the cache is on a corner of a popular scenic drive route. Also watch for any rubbish which may cause a hazard (such as broken glass).
Cache in Trash out policy would be of great help in this vicinity.
