I have been to Jugiong a number of times since I commenced caching and I enjoy every visit. Its a nice quiet little town which is regularly visited by passing truckers and tourists.
I was on my way to Tumut with FurfacesLL when I remembered I had won a nice large geocache at the recent ACT Geocaching Awards so I decided to add my own little bit to Jugiong.
Well thats when the fun began. I had chosen a location that was just perfect for this cache, however, upon returning home on the Sunday (after placing it on the Friday) to my horror I noticed someone else had the same idea of that lovely location.
Well, I contacted FurfacesLL and asked if they were ready for another drive to move mine and try our hand at the FTF, and it was agreed, so off we went. A late evening dash up the Barton Hwy, shoot down the Hume Hwy and we were soon there. Grabbed my cache and we were presented with a blank log book for the other cache.
I remembered another spot which I eyed off on the Friday so I went and checked proximity and all was good. Cache is now in place for all to enjoy.
Please ensure it is covered when you leave, and take care when leaving as at times, people come off the highway at high speeds.
