In the late 50's my dad would go back to school at Emporia State in the summers. As a teacher he had the summers off (with No Pay)! and his dad owned a house on this spot and no longer lived here so it worked out perfectly for us.
We would explore around the farm, play in the Barn, Sheep Shead, Smoke House, and Chicken Coop and maybe even go down to the pond out back. No airconditioning, no running water, but a grand adventure for several summers. Electricity and a black and white TV was all we needed.
Mickey Mouse Club at 4:00 in the afternoon was not to be missed!!
All the buildings are gone now but the memories are clear as a bell!
