Hong Kong Scouts has been divided into 5 Regions and 44 Districts.
Each Region manage several districts and the District Council manage the Scout Groups within that district.
This cache is located at the District Scout Headquarters of the Yuen Long East District, which is under the New Territories Region of the Scout Association of Hong Kong.
The Yuen Long East District established in 1976. Nowadays, there are 48 Scout Groups within the district.
District Headquarters
The Yuen Long East District Scout Headquarters was built in the 80s and became activity venue for Scout groups and members since then. This District Scout HQ is a 3-storeys building located in Au Tau, Yuen Long. There is also a parade ground for various activities.
District Badge
This district badge of the Yuen Long East District is a rectangular badge with a blue sky, a wall, 2 hills, and farm.
When the district was formed, it covers the area of Kam Tin(錦田), Sun Tin(新田) and Pat Heung (八鄉).
And the elements of the District Badges represents the area
The wall represents the Kam Tin, (where Kat Hing Wai located)
The farm in front of the wall represnts Sun Tin, where most area are farm area.
The 2 hills represnts Pat Heung, where the smaller hill is Kwun Yam Shan(觀音山) and the taller one is Tai Mo Shan(大帽山).
