Quite a walk from the Sunriver Resort but doable. A bike is far more "betterer" to get here or if that doesn't work you can use that 2,000 lb steel box. (g)
From here the Deschutes River flows by. As stated on the Sunriver Lodge website: "The Sunriver area is a wonderful destination for those who are serious about their river float trips. Make an entire day of it by putting in at the Harpers Bridge and be prepared to float for an entire 3 1/2 hours to the pull out at Benham Butte. If you want a shorter ride, or need a place to take a break for lunch, hop out at the Sunriver Marina only a 1 1/2 hour float from Harpers Bridge. From here the Sunriver Maria is a short distance away and you can find out all the answers to your questions about floating the Deschutes River in Sunriver.
This area may be heavily trafficed so stealthness is required. You may have to wait for a muggle or two to vacate the bench. It's often a favorite resting spot.
Sit a spell and watch the flotilla go by during the high season. Or just sit and relax. Tis a peaceful location.
