Four Lakes Trail #15: A Quacking Finale Traditional Cache
Team Mojo 100:
Sadly I have decided to archive the Four Lakes Trail for the following reasons:
- There are new access issues throughout the trail now, with footpath closures affecting #7-8 and #10
- Containers are frequently going missing
- It is no secret that many of the fields are earmarked for future development, further casting doubt over the ability of the cache trail to continue.
Thanks to all finders over the years!

The twelfth and final cache in the Four Lakes Trail series, excluding the bonus. You're looking for a small Tupperware pot in a tree. Watch out from muggles at all angles! Now you should have all you need to collect the bonus, after some calculations.
A walk of around 3km along my favourite Backwell walk, part of the Nailsea Loop Walk, whereby you'll come across a total of 4 eponymous lakes over the 13 caches. I would recommend doing this during dry weather conditions as after wet days some parts of the trail (especially around #2, #3 and #4) get VERY MUDDY to a point where it's a lot harder to walk on. Terrain Levels are respective of this.
All caches are on public footpaths or publicly accessible land. Some of the land occasionally has grazing livestock, (particularly cows and horses) so keep dogs close by.
The trail itself is quite adventurous, with varied terrains: Paved ground, grassy field, muddy footpaths, stony ground and steps. Be warned: YOU WILL HAVE TO CROSS A TRAIN LINE AT ONE POINT between caches #5 and #6; this is potentially dangerous for young cachers and dogs, make sure to keep them both close by.
Also on this trail are the opportunity to pick up two other caches, if you haven't done so already:
• Creepy Crawlies 2 GC1WATB
• SideTracked- Nailsea and Backwell GC54DR6 (provided you parked in the recommended parking area near #1)
I hope you enjoy the walk as much as I do.
