Legacy is a 590 acre planned development located in West Eagle. The original 2006 goal of the community was to have Mia Hamm Soccer Fields, where the soccer star and her teammate Brandi Chastain would come quarterly for soccer camps; a Jack Nicklaus 18-hole golf course, which ended up becoming a 3-hole executive practice course disassociated from his name; and olympic swimming pools. It would be the first of its kind not only in Idaho, but in the entire world.
Unfortunately, the bubble burst and development of Legacy halted. The original developer was foreclosed on and developed and undeveloped lots and land were auctioned off for multiple builders and developers to purchase "dirt cheap."
Fortunately, the beautiful community fountain entrance and ponds/lakes throughout the community were formed prior to the downturn and still remain. Take a stroll through the community on the walking paths and you will be in awe of the idea that once was.
