Stage 1:
The Puzzle
The listed coordinates will bring you to Stage 1 of this two-part cache. Parking can be found pretty much anywhere in Monroe, the parking coordinates listed are pretty central to all the geocaches in this small town. Opening the first container will reveal a 100 piece marble puzzle. Your job (should you choose to accept it...) is to put the puzzle together to reveal the location of Stage 2. There is a small catch though: the coordinates are on the back side of the puzzle which will require flipping the puzzle upside down to reveal the next set of coordinates, not an easy feat when you're trying to put together a puzzle in the grass. It is strongly recommended that you bring something to make the puzzle on and that you can use to flip the puzzle (which is about the size of a standard sheet of 8.5" X 11" paper) over with. It took two adults and several children (who mostly got in the way as we were in a rush) 30 minutes to piece the puzzle together.
Stage 2:
The Final
The Final Stage is a standard small tupperware container, same as the first. It will bring you to what I think is one of the cooler and more interesting spots in downtown Monroe. Take a time to explore the surrounding structures and imagine what this quiet town was like in the 18th, 19th and early 20th centuries as this spot makes me think of a forgotten time. Cache is stocked with a variety of trinkets to start. There is a micro bison tube and good luck geocoin for the FTF too! Good luck and happy caching!
Congratulations to thebyrdcache on FTF!
