In Lower Allston, there is a public art display on the embankment along Lincoln St. The art was meant to be planted with meadowlike grasses in order to be low-maintanance. As a result, it looks a bit derelict and overgrown, but I'm told that was intentional! My geocaching buddy Nathan and I found a spot that we hope won't get too much traffic (other caches in this area have been muggled regularly)!
This public art was dedicated in 2009 in order to rehabilitate a trash-strewn strip of waste land in Lower Allston. It now boasts planters and sculptures made of rusted steel, purposely chosen to give the area a weathered, industrial look. Note, this cache container is non-standard, and may blend into the surroundings more than the average cache!
