Please join us for The 2016 Pacolet River Sweep!
Here is a great chance for us geocachers to give back to the local community! Make the most of your Saturday morning and help keep our watershed clean!
We need your help, young and old, large or small!
This CITO will take place on Saturday April 30th, 2016 from 10am - 1pm.
We will meet at the Timken Community Center (180 Foster St. Cowpens, SC 29330) at 10 am. From here, we will divide into groups and head out to the Pacolet River cleanup sites. Lunch and T-shirts will be provided!
Please pre-register by posting a "Will-Attend" log with the number of your group, as well as your prefered T-shirt sizes.
Alternatly, you can send an email to mckenna.sprouse@spartanburgparks.org by April 22nd, 2016. Make sure that you mention that you are a geocacher when you register!
Please note that all minors must be accompanied by an adult, and must have a waiver signed by their legal guardian.
Gloves, bags and other materials will be provided, but as always, feel free to bring your own, too. Every little bit helps!
This event is open to all, and registration is not required, but it will help in the planning for refreshments.
If there are any participants that need to stay together, please note that in your log so that we can plan accordingly.
After the clean up, we will all head back to the Timken Community Center for Lunch, Laughs and Loot!
Thanks to the SJWD Water District, Clemson Extension, and Spartanburg Parks Department for their partnership!
