Geocache Description:

Bishop Ridley church, Falconwood. Another Church Micro in the series created by Sadexploration.

The church was built between 1957-1958 as a daughter church to St John's, Welling; becoming a parish church in 1989. It was reordered and refurbished to make better use of the existing space in 1993, following completion of Phase 1 of a major building project. The church became a dual purpose building, which has enabled a more creative use of the interior. The chairs are stacked in the sanctuary during the week so that community activities can take place within the main body of the church, whilst it is also possible to take a more flexible approach to worship through ‘Café Church’ layouts, with chairs arranged around small tables.

The vicarage is almost 25 years old, having been completed in August 1990. It is a well-designed four-bedroom family house with two reception rooms, kitchen, utility room, study, bathroom and downstairs toilet. It is situated next to the church and has an easily-managed garden and separate garage. A copper-beech hedge forms the boundary to a children's play-park adjoining the vicarage.

The co-ords should take you to the side of the church where there is a foundation stone on the wall. There is a shield with a cross on it. What colour is that cross - Black, Blue, Green, Purple, Red or even White? A = number of letters of the answer.

The date on the stone is BCth April DEFG
