Geocache Description:

This cache is along the County Line Trail in northern Wayne County.  It is in a camoed pill container.

The town of Sterling was originally two different towns.  Russell was a town beside the railroad intersection of the Cleveland-Lorain & Wheeling Railroad, the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, and the Erie Railroad.  Amwell (originally called "Johnson's Corner," but was changed because it was considered too "contrified") was a town on the road intersection of Sterling Road and Kauffman Avenue.  These two towns combined to make the town of Sterling.  One of the first electrified signal towers in the United States was put in at the Sterling railroad junction. It was called the Russell Tower because many still called the junction by its previous name.
