OSG12 Old Stamping Ground : Prospect Terrace Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

StriderGeo: Change is as good as a rest they say - my caches/routes have been up for years, so I have decided to archive most if not all - leaving the land open to others - although I may lay down some new caches myself later this year, if no one gets there first :)

Regards

Paul / StriderGeo

Geocache Description:

You are looking for a small black box with swaps. BYOP. Please return as found and beware Muggles, especially those on horseback :) .

Congratulations on a full 18 cache series joint FTF to the inimitable pairing of Bessieboots and WFG !

Prospect Terrace was always a pleasant place to sit and take in the views; the houses were built for the more affluent of the factory workers at the nearby mills and quarrymens families. Bathed in light from dawn till dusk they proved very popular and much sought after.

This series is a self indulgence as it takes a trail around my old stamping grounds as a child. As I was born and bred in Stacksteads walking this route brought back lots of happy memories for me. I hope you have a pleasant time hunting and admiring the views as you go. None of these caches are particularly difficult, so they would be ideal for a family hunt. The only essential equipment needed will be a pen :) The route is approximately 5 miles long and should take 2 – 3 hours. There are no particularly steep climbs, but the paths are boggy in places so wellingtons or boots are advisable.
