Saturday, May 7, 2016 will be the fifth annual "I Love My Park Day" at nearly 100 State Parks and historic sites in New York.
This event will join volunteers on the Old Croton Aqueduct to rid the trail of invasive plants. Meet fellow geocachers on the OCATT near the white canopy that will be up for the day. Other groups and volunteers will be in the area from 9:30am to 3pm. The CITO event is scheduled from 10:00am to NOON, but feel free to come earlier or stay later. (A group photo will be taken at 10am)
Header coordinates will take you to a tiny parking area next to the meeting area. Parking will be allowed along Quaker Bridge Road between houses 99 and 124 during the event, look for signs indicating where it's okay to park.
Consider wearing long pants, a hat and a long sleeved shirt. Water, tools, and everything you need to lop vines, identify, prune and remove invasive plants and bushes will be provided.
