Papierknipkunst bestaat al heel lang in Nederland. De oudste knipsels stammen uit de 16de eeuw, maar ook tegenwoordig wordt er nog heel veel geknipt. Niet alleen traditioneel, maar ook heel vernieuwend. Zo’n traditie verdient het te worden voortgezet, en sinds 2013 staat dit ambacht dan ook op de Nationale Inventaris Immaterieel Cultureel Erfgoed Koninkrijk Nederland. Wij willen iedereen in Nederland (en daarbuiten) kennis laten maken met de papierknipkunst. Daarom nodigen wij u uit om thuis een knipsel te maken. Voorbeeld en beschrijving vindt u in de cachecontainer. Niet verplicht hoor, u kunt ook alleen uw naam in het logboekje schrijven.
Deze cache vindt u in de Haarlemse wijk Rozenprieel. De bewoners noemen deze wijk liefkozend De Roos; dat verklaart de naam van deze cache.

A tradition like this deserves it to be continued by following generations. That is why this art/craft has in 2013 been placed on the National list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. We would like to tell people worldwide about paper cutting.
