Geocache Description:

Danger abounds in the Cretaceous Skies! Fearsome Predators and and Meteor Impact! OH MY!

First, a joke a 9 year old passenger on my school bus told me, "Why don't you hear Pteodactyls and Pterosaus go to the bathroom?" Answer: Because their Pee is silent! LOL!

The rock sample is an actual meteorite that fell from the sky in parts unknown. If you really want one of your own, they sell them at the SD Natural History Museum.

It was an Everest mountain sized meteor that fell 65 million years ago on the Yucatan Peninsula creating the Chicxulub Crater leading to the devestating changes that largely contributed to the extinction of the dinosaurs.

This little Jurassic Pteodactylus reached a wingspan of 12 inches. The largest of the flying reptile was the Quetzalcoatlus reaching up to a 36 foot wingspan!
