Geocache Description:

When I first thought of this series, I thought it would be easy.  Just make a list of my favorite children's books and find a place to hide a cache.  I didn't realize that I had so many favorites.  I narrowed the list down.  Still too many so I decided to feature picture books.  Most of the books in this series are favorites that I've read to children when I worked in a library at an elementary school.

ANANSI GOES FISHING retold by Eric A. Kimmel and illustrated by Janet Stevens

If you have not read any of the Anansi books, you might feel kind of sorry for Anansi at the end of the book.  Don't feel sorry for him!  In the book Anansi and the Moss Covered Rock and Anansi and the Melon, you will find that Anansi is a trickster and a very lazy spider!  If he isn't thinking up ways to steal his neighbors food, then he is thinking of ways to play tricks on his friends.  In this book, the tables turn.

Anansi's friend, Turtle, invites Anansi to go fishing with him.  They have to make a net so Turtle gives Anansi a choice, does he want to work or does he want to get tired?  Read on and find out why Anansi feels cheated and goes to the Justice Tree.

Who is the judge who is sitting under the Justice Tree?
