The Nyvka - small river in Ukraine, which flows through the territory of Kyiv and Kyiv Sviatoshynsky district, Kyiv region It's a right tributary of the The Irpin’ or Irpen’ (a right tributary of the Dnieper).
It is 20 km in length and flows through the city of Kyiv. The feature of the river is the large number of ponds throughout its length (about 20). In the lower reaches of the river is a fish farm.
Nyvka originates in Kiev, close to Odeska square - more precisely, near the Ice Stadium. The river disappears underground, and along its course is diverted into the city sewers. The river running underneath Academician Glushkov street and flows upwards near the housing estate Teremky-II (there are 3 ponds), crosses the Juliani (there are several small ponds too) and St. Michael's Borschagivka after that it running underneath South Borschagivka, crossing the Ring road ("Okrujna") and after the considerable length leaves the city. Here on the banks of the river are Paul Borshchagivka and Sophia Borschagivka, where the river also created several large ponds.
Not far from the highway Kyiv - Zhytomyr river again finds himself on the territory of Kyiv, flows through the Svyatoshinskiy pine forest. Not far from the confluence Irpen it finally leaves the city.

Нивка - річка в Україні, що протікає територією міста Києва та Києво-Святошинського району Київської області. Права притока Ірпіня (басейн Дніпра).
Довжина близько 20 км. Особливістю річки є наявність великої кількості ставків на всій її протяжності (близько 20). В нижній течії річки влаштоване рибне господарство.
Нивка бере початок у Києві, неподалік від Одеської площі, точніше - в районі Льодового стадіону. Далі річка перетинає під землею проспект Академіка Глушкова і виходить на поверхню поруч із житловим масивом Теремки-II (там розташовані 3 ставки), перетинає селище Жуляни (в якому також утворено декілька невеличких ставків) та Михайлівську Борщагівку, далі у підземному колекторі проходить під масивом Південна Борщагівка, перетинає Кільцеву дорогу і, на значному за довжиною відрізку, покидає місто. Тут на берегах річки розташовані села Софіївська Борщагівка та Петропавлівська Борщагівка, в яких на річці також утворено декілька великих ставів.
Неподалік від автошляху Київ — Житомир річка знов опиняється на території Києва, протікає через сосновий Святошинський ліс. Неподалік від місця впадіння в Ірпінь вона остаточно покидає межі міста.
У 1991 році на річці Нивці (Борщівці) виявлено залишки поселення давньоруського і післямонгольського часу. Це говорить про велику територією давнього міста Києва.
