Om Gate
Området Gate har en anrik historia, historiken till byggnaden bredvid cachen kan spåras tillbaka till 1400-talet, i många hundra år som en gård. I 1945 blev det vandrarhem, och sedan 1956 ett gästgiveri. I 1970 blev Arvika en stad i världen, då gästades byggnaden - av Olof Palme, Willy Brandt och flera andra stora politiker. I 1908 beslutade landstinget i Värmland att bygga tuberkulossanatorium i Gate, och kvarstående rest av detta är den ljusgula byggnaden upp i backen. Tyvärr är lite kvar av den 30 hektar store sanatorieparken med bl.a frukt- och köksträdgård, näckrosdam och minigolfbana.
About Gate
The Gate area has a rich history, The history of the building next to the cache can be traced back to the 15th century, for many centuries as a farm. In 1945 it became a hostel, and since 1956 a guest house. In 1970, Arvika became a city in the world as the great politicians as Olof Palme, Willy Brandt and several others visited the guest house. In 1908, the County Council of Värmland decided to build a tuberculosis sanatorium in Gate, and the remains of this is the light yellow building up the hill. Unfortunately, a little is left of the 30 hectare sanatorium park with fruit and kitchen garden, water lily pond and mini golf course.
