Sonny and Sandy of the Podcacher Podcast came up with the idea of a WWFM Event back in 2007 after they had attended a mega-event. It was meant to be a fun "opposite" of a mega-event. An added dimension is represented by the letters "WW"- World Wide - these events occur across the planet on the same day at the same time!
The MOB will begin at 1:00 p.m. at the provided coordinates on Saturday, June 4th, 2016. You are welcome and encouraged to mill around the area before hand and then decend upon the required area at the posted time. Then at 1:15 p.m. gather together for a group picture to show case the theme of this Flash Mob event. The Event will end at 1:30 p.m. and you can disperse to part take in the surrounding area- shopping, eating, libations, or a nice leisurely walk in the Village.
The Theme of this WWFM Event is "Rainbows" and "Umbrellas" and while it is not a requirement to attend it would really be fun if everybody could come with a rainbow of some sort, whether it is a tye-dye shirt, scarf, shoes, hand bag, hat, umbrella, flag, sunglasses, etc. Let's see just how many rainbows we can produce. The fun is to accessorize - it can be simple or outrageous - but in good taste.
We will be meeting at the posted coordinates at the base of the Falls in Honeoye Falls. Look for the historical marker "Site of the Mill" for entrance to GZ. Lots of photo opportunites are here. And if the weather does not cooperate, have your umbrella handy just in case.
There is plenty of parking available. Lots of curbside parking spots which will fill up fast but there are 3 Municipal Parking Lots (corrdinates posted) to take advantage of. There is also plenty of establishments nearby for food, gas, drinks, etc.
