1 PETER Traditional Cache

The highway that you are travelling on is called the Northern Woods and Waters Route. You cannot travel this route without being in awe of the great beauty and diversity both in plants and animals created for our use and enjoyment. There are those that would have you believe everything happens by chance, others divine direction, I will leave it up to you. Be blessed during your ride and soak in your surroundings, stop for a few caches or them all.

The bible is divided into the old and new testaments that together make up a total of 66 books of the bible. It is said that each book’ author was inspired to do his writings without consult with the other authors yet the Bible seems to flow from beginning to end. I have used each book as the title for a cache along this route and hope you can learn a little about the bible as you cache on! Cache type varies as you travel.

This letter of Peter’s is to encourage suffering Christians about 62-64 A.D. Jewish Christians had been driven out of Jerusalem and scattered throughout Asia Minor. Emperor Nero had begun his great persecution following the great “Burning of Rome” blamed on the Christians. Peter ends giving special instructions to elders and young men of the church who find themselves persecuted and should be thankful they are found worthy of this persecution.
