Yowie Lurking Traditional Cache

Kilcoy claims to be the home of the mythical Yowie,

The last reported sighting was December 1979 when two Brisbane school boys claim to have seen the Yowie while pig shooting 4kms north of town.They described the beast as being 3 metres tall and covered in chocolate coloured hair. They said it took giant thumping strides which could be heard from hundreds of metres away.

You can park and walk along the path either from the Showgrounds or from Graham Street (down the lane marked No Through Road).

Keep a look out for the Yowie as you go.
