Geocache Description:

An event to: a) satisfy a couple of people who wanted an event in May for a challenge, b) satisfy anybody who needs to find a cache in May beginning with 'A'  for a challenge, c) give me an excuse not to enter the City Safari, and, d) celebrate my Birthday!

The main coordinates are at my front door, the trailhead coordinates are for the start of the path to it.

At a recent event, a fellow cacher commented that they needed an event in May for a challenge they were working on, so that got me thinking...

This was going to be called "It's my party and I'll cache if I want to"... but then I realised that I needed a cache beginning with A for a challenge myself - so here it is!  The name now refers both to the location (almost, but not quite at the top of Perth St), and the fact that the previous day I will have had a 'significant' birthday.

What better way to celebrate than to get together with a bunch of like-minded obsessives and swop stories?

The event will run from 2pm - 4pm.

The coordinates are for my front door (21 Perth Street).  To get there, you need to walk down the path to the left of our garage.  It's flat (for Wellington), but there are some steps, so not suitable for wheelchairs I'm afraid.  Junior cachers are welcome (if you keep an eye on them), and geomutts welcome (outside).

I will provide tea, coffee, some soft drinks and a Cake.  Please bring other nibbles if you would like to share.

If I get really inspired, I may think of a couple of 'geogames' - but no promises!

There is some parking on Perth St, but please be considerate of the neighbours and don't block their drives.  Alternately, the 43 and 44 busses go past the end of the drive, and Ngaio Train station is about 10 mins walk away.

Please let me know if you will attend.  I appreciate some people may well have entered the City Safari - let me know if you're likely to be running in that, and I'll try and work something out that means you can still 'grab a smiley' if you're passing.
