Many types of puzzles are to be found among the "questionable" caches (?=Unknown), but some of the most interesting present only words, and involve only words while solving, though you'll still end up with useful coordinates once they are unscrambled. So today we celebrate Wordsmith Day. Do you have any wordy puzzles that have you stumped?
Bring a puzzle to share - share solving, that is! Or bring one you want to brag about, and see if the rest can solve it at this event. We continue to see successes at each of these gatherings, and lots of smiles at the end of the evening.
This event is a little different every month. There may be a short tutorial on some aspect of puzzle solving, many usually get together on some teasers that won't give up answers easily, a cache or two may be presented for exercise, and sometimes it's a purely social get-together. You don't have to work on puzzles to enjoy this one. But if you want to, you'll have plenty of others willing to dig in with you.
So bring your puzzle paraphenalia - cache listing, laptop, theories and worksheets, and your (sp)eye glasses - you never know who will show up, and what kind of help you might encounter. Maybe you'll be able to help someone else with their dilemma, too. If you have a topic you'd like to learn more about in future events, feel free to make note of it in your Will Attend log.
