Geocache Description:

Now that the road construction has been completed, we thought it was time to revive this litte guy!

About 20 rods west of GZ was the town site of Hartman, SD. It was homesteaded in 1878 by John Hartman, Sr. The town was started in January of 1899 and sported a post office, general store, creamery, blacksmith, farm implement dealer, hardware store, telephone company and community hall. The town went out of existence in 1916.

Oh, and the cows, if they are around, will more likely than not be noisy, but they should be harmless!
