Please note: The official Rating is Difficulty 3/ Terrain 4. But because of the new premium rules it would be disabled to log on mobile phone. So now, its a 2/2.
From Copacabana you need to go Chañi. This small village is about 4km north of Copa. The easiest way to go there is to take a Collectivo in town for 4-5B, or a Taxi. You can also walk along the dirt road for 1-1,5 h. I marked the point, where you want to be dropped off and start walking towards the cache.
Dont forget sunscreen and water. During the day it gets quite hot here. You might also want to wear long pants, as the bushes are high and some have stings!
Take the small path to the left until you see the (fake) floating islands. Take a picture and then continue your way to the top of the mountain. There is kind of a path along the bay, where the islands are. Some flags directing the way. But on, or around this mountain is nothing. No steps, no farms, no people. This spot is still a nice piece of nature. So, simply find a way up with less impact to the environment.
The cache is hidden in a crack of a big rock. A pile of rocks on top of the big one indicate the location. See spoiler picture as well. The spot is quit obvious. An Antitheft-System is integrated :)
The original container was a 10cm Tupperware box with enough space to hold smal toys and Travelbugs. Bring a pen!
Update: There is new container (PETling) !, where the old one was hiding (spoiler picture shows the exact spot!). Keep this geocache alife, please !
When you are at the cache, please, take your time and enjoy. You can spot colorfull birds, green kolibris, butterflies and many more.
