I grew up not far from this park. We were able to ride our bikes there and it was a wonderful place to play, while enjoying the closeness of a small town community and its simple way of life. As a young girl, the rock that still sits on the property seemed massive. Looking at it now, I have to grin at how proud of myself I was when I first made it to the top. It was quite a challenge to master! It's amazing how differently we see things when we're young. My brothers and I all played baseball here. In fact, it was on the Southwest ball field (between innings, sitting on the bench), that my teammate taught me how to whistle with my fingers (thanks, Beth!) It's the simple things that make us smile, ....
If you have a chance, take some time to enjoy all the park has to offer and check out the Attica Museum, as well as the library (good things come in small packages). If you're in the mood for a picnic, or just feel like relaxing and enjoying the day, this is the place to be! No matter what you decide, you will enjoy this park and hopefully take a moment to appreciate all it has to offer.
