Geocache Description:

South side of Buffalo Rapids along the South end of the Flathead River was just begging for a cache.  I have several on the North side of the river above Buffalo Rapids, but in all my years being raised and recreating here, I had never been on the South side of the river at Buffalo Rapids.  This is approximately where the photographers must be when they take photos of the rafters going through the rapids in the summer months for one of the local rafting companys.

We placed this cache while out on an ATV ride with our 5 yr old granddaughter, yet most any style vehicle with a bit of clearance can travel the "off road" section to get close to GZ.  You will need to turn off of Buffalo Bridge Road and go through an old wooden gate type section (see photo) and follow this "field road".  Stay right at both spots where you have the option.  Leave your vehicle on the "road" and take a short walk to GZ.  After accomplishing the cache, safely venture a bit farther out and you can sneak a peak of Buffalo Rapids. Cache is not close to the edge, yet is located in a safe spot. To hunt for this cache you must have a CSKT recreation permit on your person.
