This is one of my favorite areas when out walking, in the rife (Stream) that runs to the south of the location there are lots of wildlife to be seen including Herons, Little Grebe (good luck spotting these elusive birds), Water Rail (also very shy) and the more common birds such as Coots, Moorhens and Ducks. In the sky look and listen for Buzzards and sometimes a daylight hunting owl. In the springtime large male Sticklebacks can been seen setting up their nests in the drainage ditches along the walk.
Please post any sightings on your logs.
