When Wee Imp was 3, we were hunting for a now archived cache up on The Grumps. Trying to not be spotted, we ducked down in some long grass and hid until a dog walker and his pooch went past. I thought we'd not been spotted until Wee Imp sprang from our hiding place shouting "HELLO MAN!" at the top of her voice giving him a real fright :P So when you find this one, feel free to post a (non compulsary) photo of you shouting "HELLO!" :D
Wee Imp and Hangovermonkey look forward to reading your logs! :)
Kincorth Hill is on the south side of the City to the south of Kincorth and is locally known as "The Grumps". There are access points from the car parks at Abbotswells Crescent (eastern side of reserve) and Nigg Way (west side) and from various points along the edge of the housing estate. A series of paths running across the hillside through area of coniferous & deciduous woodland, grassland, scrub, heath and past a pond. Good for birdwatching, nature watching and dog walking with areas to stop have a seat and enjoy the views across the city.
Whilst walking the paths, children can keep an eye out for a series of small bronze plaques which represent many of the different animals and trees found on the hill.
Placed by kind permission of Aberdeen City Countryside Rangers.
