I was checking some of my Geocaches and their waypoints and realized there was a section ripe for a new cache. If you have done the “Watch City Workout” cache, or some of the M&M Series, some of the trails/paths will be familiar.
The area near GZ shows signs of “kids having fun” so it would be good opportunity for CITO. Bring a trash bag and be sure to re-hide the cache as found…or better.
Access from the South may be challenging, so if you want less of an “adventure” I would recommend using the parking coordinates and enjoy the park and a paved/packed trail. It’s a fairly easy trek albeit the first half is DOWN HILL. That means if you retrace your steps you will go UP HILL. You could always choose to take a circumferential trail and enjoy the tranquility of the park. The last 75 feet or so to GZ has minimal bush whacking. I Did not see signs of PI or thorns, but who knows what Summer will bring…be prepared as always, when Geocaching in the woods in N.E. (bug spray)
Access to Prospect Hill Park is dawn to dusk, April through October, so plan accordingly. There are also trail access points adjacent to the park in commercial office parks.
Time to go Geocaching!! Go for it!
