Once you're past the tunnel, this is the first opportunity to really see the kind of country you're heading into. Absolutely fabulous vistas!

There is loads of room to pull over and park. You're looking for a 680ml sistema container. It might be best to approach the cache from the trail rather than the road. Enjoy this great spot.

The Earthbound Series was put together to lead you to the Wombeyan Caves Earthcache along one of the Southern Highlands most scenic routes. The greater part of Wombeyan Caves Road is an unsealed mountainous road. It is narrow and winding but is accessible by 2WD and you'll experience spectacular views. Your average speed will be around 40kph so allow yourself a couple of hours before and after your visit to the Caves.

Parking has been taken into consideration for all caches in the Earthbound Series and they are all child-friendly in that each container is situated away from cliffs, drop offs, or other hazards. Each cache in the series should be easy park n' grabs; containers are cammoed and have room for swaps.

Please note WCR is not suited for caravans, is best avoided by learner and provisional drivers, and you should exercise due caution when driving at night or in inclement weather. And, of course, heed all road signage and watch for wildlife.
